BeyondPay is pleased to announce that beginning February 17, 2011, users of Online Payroll, ESS, ViewChoice Online and Web GL will be protected by two additional layers of security, adding to the already comprehensive user security currently in place today.
The new security measures being implemented, referred to as “multifactor authentication” are similar to measures used by online banking websites or other financial sites. Users of the online systems will be authenticated both by the traditional login/password combination, and by additional device print methods. When you log in, the system will compare certain details, such as your IP address and internet browser against the ones you used the last time you logged in. If they match, you’ll be able to enter your password and be logged in. Without a valid match, you will be required to provide answers to Challenge Questions before being able to enter your password and log in. Additionally, we'll be providing "Site to User" authentication, which presents a user-selected image and phrase to the user prior to password entry, as a means to assure the user that the site is a valid site.
Over the next few weeks, you’ll see reminders on the site about the upcoming changes. The first time you log in after February 17, 2011, you’ll be prompted to follow a simple, one-time process necessary to set up your account to work with the new security technology. This process will only take a few minutes.
Please feel free to contact us at 800-277-9904 or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions you have related to this important security enhancement. We at BeyondPay take the security of your data very seriously, and we’re excited to be able to give you added reassurance that your information is safe with us. Thank you for your business, and we look forward to continuing to serve you in 2011.
